I have been working in the consumer finance field since 1984 and was fortunate enough to be an original founder of Shamrock Financial. Today I’m the company’s Chief Executive Officer, which is a nice way of saying “I got here first.” My career is energized by Educating & Motivating my referral partners, staff, family and friends. I love what I do.

Dean,
In our house the single most dreaded word is “whatever”. To me, it is a synonym for “I really don’t care”. With teenage boys banning any word is a challenge, but “whatever” is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
Brian
Dean, The words “I don’t know” come to mind. It”s a phrase that to me signifys I have not taken the time to find out. Therefore i try to strengthen it with “At this moment, i’m not sure ,but i will look into it.”i
That’s a great one Brian. “Whatever” is the ultimate example of having nothing meaningful to contribute and just punting on the whole thing as a result.
Hate.
Never.
Can’t.
Shut up.
Early in my career, someone I admired warned me never to use the term “etc.” – it’s a clear indication that you won’t take the time to further inform, or more often that you just don’t know what else to add. In either case, it’s a useless filler word that doesn’t exude confidence – and I haven’t used it since.
Jesus Christ. I freak out when someone uses his name in frustration. I immediately yell at them to switch it up to “Cheese and Rice” if they’re going to use it. It breaks the bad habit.
Try- Useless
Might-Ambiguous
To be honest with you-enough said for this great group to know not to ever use it
He Goes-The correct grammar is “He said,”
Should be
Could be
Most likely
I think so
All words that scream I have no clue and I have no power….
Passive words are all banned from my house…ONLY active action words
Cheers…..I think I most likely could have tried a littler harder to, well, never mind, I might …naw forget it ……
What a great collection of things I shouldn’t ,and won’t be, saying anymore. Thanks for the input.
